To prepare you to successfully take the Swiss Baccalaureate Examination.
Since as far back as 1933, Papio College High School has been preparing its students to successfully take the Federal Baccalaureate Examination, now called the Swiss Baccalaureate Examination. This is an exam organized by the Swiss Maturity Commission, to which our students usually take two sessions, one at the end of their third year and one at the end of their fourth year of high school. For some years now, it has been possible to prepare for a bilingual baccalaureate certificate, with an Italian/English mention. We are currently the only high school in the Canton that allows this choice.
The curriculum provides all students with thirteen exams, only six of which are the same for all. The other seven, including at least one other national language, a third language, mathematics and an art subject, allow for customization.
The College High School offers some peculiarities that increase the potential for students' academic success. The first year, propaedeutic, includes the presence of a tutor, who accompanies each pupil closely, and an introduction to study course, with the aim of refining the study method. There is at least one hour of assisted study each day, which must be signed up for. In some of them each student studies individually; in others there are subject teachers who can be consulted.

The possibility of dining in the cafeteria is a strength, and for those who need it, the College also offers the possibility of attending the boarding school (male and female).
The availability within the facility of a gymnasium and an indoor swimming pool allows for a diversification of Physical Education hours.
Finally, the College offers its students educational meetings with outside guests as well as cultural and sports trips.
