For years, the Collegio Papio has opened its doors to host non-scholastic events, open to everyone. These range from sports to cultural activities, weddings to simple recreational gatherings.
These opportunities make the school structure appealing and usable even out of school hours.
Specific procedures apply to each of the following possible events and resources
Thanks to its size and excellent acoustics, the church of Santa Maria della Misericordia is regularly used to host concerts, both by private individuals and by established institutions such as the Music Weeks of Ascona. The church has a high quality organ.
The school hall is the only room in the municipality with a capacity of up to 250 seats. It is on regular demand for holding assemblies, conferences and meetings.
The College sports centre has a gym and swimming pool and is used by sports clubs and groups outside school hours.
Hall for Civil Weddings
Since 2019, the "Sala Rossa", the College's representative hall, located on the ground floor of the cloister, is also officially recognised as a civil wedding room.
A request to use the room can be made through the municipal chancellor's office in Ascona ( 41 (0)91 759 80 00 – email@example.com) for administrative queries linked to the formalities surrounding the civil status. If required, the cloister and/or garden at the Collegio Papio can be booked for matters linked to the ceremony.
The College cloister is highly suitable for organising events and, thanks to its "intimacy", guarantees tranquillity and privacy. The porches mean you can take advantage of the spaces in almost any weather conditions. Ceremonies, meetings, presentations, refreshments, lunches or dinners, there is a place for every event.
The kitchen staff at the Collegio Papio provides a friendly, quality catering service to guests for meetings, concerts, weddings and events in general, with particular focus being placed on the use of local, fresh produce.
