New wing of the College: cafeteria and kitchen
At the end of a long process that saw the support of the Patriziato, the Parish and Municipality of Ascona, the Friends of the Collegio Foundation and other benefactors who financed the ambitious project, the new wing of the Collegio with the canteen and the kitchen.
The design of the New Wing was signed by the Lugano-based firm Giraudi Radczuweit.
The way forward had on the one hand to lead to the enhancement of its historic structure, which is also protected by the cantonal Cultural Heritage Office, and on the other to accommodate the school's continued growth. The result is a modern and functional building.
Pupils are offered a curated, healthy and quality service with food strictly controlled according to regulations regarding product origin and traceability, guaranteed by the Fourchette Verte Ticino brand.

the Campus
The welcoming structure of Collegio Papio combines ancient walls with more modern parts within the pleasant surroundings of Ascona.
For those who wish to live at the College full-time, the college offers a modern campus available to boys and girls from sixth grade through fourth grade for the entire week, including weekends.
The campus is divided into two housing units, the first is inserted in the College's more modern wing, while the second, recently renovated, is adjacent to the small cloister.
It is a place where students can further their studies, play sports and recreational activities with qualified students and educators.
"I thought I would have a hard time living on campus and integrating, but right away I found people who were there for me when I needed them, and now the educators and other students are my family!"
-Nicole-
During weekends, students can stay on campus, following a schedule that includes study time and free time. An educator is present.
"Living on campus is helping me to be more responsible and independent. Of course, when I need help there is always someone there to help me, but being able to deal with things on my own makes me feel good and fulfilled. I get along very well with the other girls who live here."

"My parents decided to send me to live here on campus because I live far away from the school. I fit in really well. I have the opportunity to do a lot of activities with my classmates, and we have made some really good friendships that I hope to carry on as I grow up."
