Inauguration of new wing

On Friday, August 27, 2021, the grand opening celebration of the new wing of Papio College (including the new cafeteria) was held with great success in the presence of the authorities.

The institutional moment featured speeches by Rector Don Patrizio Foletti, Mayor of Ascona Luca Pissoglio, President of the Collegio Papio Foundation Filippo Lombardi, State Councilor Hon. Raffele De Rosa and Bishop H.E. Valerio Lazzeri.

Moderator of the event Maurizio Checchi, Deputy Mayor of Ascona City Hall and President of the Friends of the College Association.

The project is the work ofthe Giraudi Radczuweit architectural firm, which focused on both the modernity of the forms and the practicality of the interior spaces . Indeed, the building fits harmoniously and unobtrusively into the College's complex of old buildings.

The cafeteria, which was opened in early 2021, completes the school's offerings: it will also benefit elementary school students who will be able to eat lunch at Papio.
