Maturity certificates handed out

Fifteen students at the Collegio Papio have been awarded theSwiss Baccalaureate. Among them are five in the bilingual variant, which includes lessons in geography, history and economics-law or biology in English.

The elegant and modern New Canteen was the setting for the certificate-giving ceremony, with the musical backdrop of the notes of a jazz ensemble for the occasion within the walls of the College.

Gianfrancesco Beltrami, Vice-President of the Papio College Foundation Board, Bishop Valerio Lazzeri and Rector Father Patrizio Foletti spoke.

Best overall results at the Swiss Baccalaureate Examination (Raiffeisen Prize): 1. Timothy Paolini (111 points, average 5.29), 2. Eloisa Inauen (105 points, average 5.0), 3. Marta Lukach (104.5, 4.98)

Best result in the artistic discipline 'Music' (UBS Ticino Prize): Moira Petra Cauzzo, footnote 6.

Best result in the artistic discipline 'Visual Arts' (UBS Ticino Prize): Eloisa Inauen, Note 5.0

Mons. Grampa' prize for the best overall result in the school subjects - religion, philosophy, ethics - (UBS Ticino prize): tied Timothy Paolini and Eloisa Inauen, average 5.67.

Best overall result in science subjects - biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics - (Corriere del Ticino prize): 1. Timothy Paolini (21.5 points, average 5.38), Eloisa Inauen (20 points, average 5.00), 3. Ilaria Giannini (18 points, average 4.50)

Best result in the English language (ESL prize): Ilya Vladislavovich Lobanov, mark 6.0
Best result in German (ESL prize): Julia-Sophie Rüegsegger, mark 6.0
Best result in the French language (ESL prize): Smeralda Lecarnaque, mark 5.50
